Monday afternoon, 13:19, wait was that army time? Man, I spend so much time at work, it consumes me. I start picking up my cell phone, thinking I am at work. “NCC, this AJ.” The other end of the line is just quietly confused. Only four weeks on the job and the day to day tasks have become rote. Not too bad, I would say.Well, another successful weekend down home in CT. Friday night was Mamma Mia at the Bushnell. Unlike other shows at the bushnell, this one felt so familiar. The acting talent of the performers was superb, far better than any I have worked with, yet I felt as if I was back at the Jewish Community Center working on Guys & Dolls. Most of the actors in Mamma Mia were my age, they dressed like me, and they even screwed up their bows. It was definitely a flashback to the good ole’ days at the “J.”Saturday I had a killer workout on the gyms, bumped in to an old football buddy, who is off to play at Dean next year as an OLB. Not bad for a kid who used to walk to first base back in middle school. Saturday eve was off to my regular haunt at Lefty Magoo’s on the Pike. Bunch of interns at Travelers were supposed to meet me there, but they were all hung over from Friday’s kegger; instead I just chilled with my boys from home.Sunday finally got to give my old man his father’s day gift: Lawn seats to Clapton at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, MA. Saturday, July 3rd will be a night to remember!
