How do people do it? Wake up in the AM, run to work, and they are alert right way. It takes me until at least 9:00 to wake up, later if it is a really slow day. I think I need instant stimulation at work, or I just fall asleep. 7:30 AM I get in, and there’s NEVER anything to do so I just sit in my seat, open some monitoring tools and wait. And wait. My eyes have never been so heavy in my life, it’s killer. But, when the calls do come in, I am as alert as U.S. Marine, poised and ready to attack and troubleshoot LAN/WAN issues across the SPT network. It is a total 180 on awakeness (is that a word?).Anyhow, I saw The Terminal yesterday. Great movie! It was very funny, but at the same time an interesting analysis of the new Dept. of Homeland Security. Apparently developed to protect American citizens and the American way, it is just another agency that trips on its own red tape. It is sad sometimes how people get so wrapped up in their roles and responsibilities they forget to be people some times.
