I sit here at my desk, waiting for work to come through, but nothing shows up. Another slow day at St. Paul Travelers provides the world an intern with nothing to do. My choices for the moment…

  1. Study for E-Business Class At Central
  2. Plan Course of Action for CCNA recertification (By Nov. 26)
  3. Research RFID for E-Business term paper.
  4. Work on website
  5. Read more articles.

…none of these, I seem to have the motivation to do. It wouldn’t hurt to start working on my web site some more, as it helps me promote myself and my future. I want to get an e-resume up there, so that potential employers can take a look at website and see my past work experience, etc. Also, the topic of my term paper, RFID’s sounds great, but again do I want to stare at a computer screen searching for the articles right now.

What I really want to do is hang out with people my age, people from my school…the one’s that know me, and that I can have fun with. Here in CT, I am away from my life, missing out on 3 months of college and suffering because of it. Don’t get me wrong, this internship is great, and I am happy with it, as well as with being near my family. But…there are so many great things going on in Rocha-cha, and I am not there for any of it. Hopefully, next weekend will be great while I am up there and make it even harder to come back. I am hopefuly travelling every weekend in October, so that will make it easier to get through. Before I know it I will be back at school, no sweat there.

One of the best things about being home though, is that I have a lot of time to devote to my phsyical fitness. I spent a lot of time at the gym (thank you Bally’s $8/mth) focusing on my muscle strength and cardio fitness. Also, when I get the chance, I am putting down 3 miles of running in my neighborhood. I have been able to get my mile time to just under 7:30, for at 22:20 total time. Not bad considering I was running an 8+ min mile in April (24:30 total). Now I even have a trainer ($250), every couple weeks to make sure I am on the right track. Spring break here I come (priceless)…Think about it.
